The major application for the Seprene family of products is for the construction industry (industrial boots, etc.) and for the automobile industry. They are also used to replace santoprene, sarlink, tekbond and synprene. The elastomeric base is a hydrogenated isoprene. This compound is compatible with polyolefin, and it is therefore possible to cast polypropylene or co-extrude these products. Also, it has very good adhesion properties to other plastics. The Seprene family of products represents a class of special elastomers that meet some of the most demanding requirements such as: resistance to chemical products, compression at low temperatures and oil absorbance.
