Granulate Cleaner and Purging Comp Benefits
Dosage Table Screw Diameter of Injection Molding Machine // Recommended quantity of Lusin® Clean G 315 60 mm // 8.0 kg/17.6 lb 80 mm // 10.5 kg/23.1 lb 100 mm // 12.0 kg/26.4 lb 120 mm // 15.0 kg/33.0 lb 140 mm // 17.5 kg/38.5 lb 160 mm // 21.0 kg/46.2 lb Description Lusin® Clean G 315 is a ready-to-use granular cleaning compound for the screws, cylinders and nozzles of thermoplastic injection molding machines and extruders. Acceptable for use in the food industry where there is no possibility of food contact. The compound consists of high grade plastic with additives and contains no abrasives. Lusin® Clean G 315 is suitable for use at a temperature up to 315°C/599°F and for the cleaning of hot runners, especially for plastics with low melt index. Applications When applied at the correct material temperature, Lusin® Clean G 315 removes crusts and deposits from screws, cylinders and nozzles. Application Instructions After cleaning with Lusin® Clean G 315, the screw can be removed very easily, if required. When Lusin® Clean G 315 is used for purging and returning to production, its' cleaning efficiency allows for faster return to service while reducing start-up scrap due to color or polymer contamination. Processing is carried out according to the following procedure. 1. For dosage, refer to table above. 2. Empty cylinder. 3. Fill hopper with Lusin® Clean G 315 and plasticize it through the cylinder. Cleaning temperature should be set at the previous materials processing temperature. Note: For optimum cleaning or when there is high level of contamination, the recommended procedure is to stop the screw when the Lusin® Clean G 315 starts to emerge from the cylinder and allow the material to react for 10 to 15 minutes. After this period, plasticize the rest of Lusin® Clean G 315 with a high screw speed. 4. After successful cleaning, place the new material into the hopper. Set the machine at processing temperature for the new material and begin normal production. Storage/Handling Lusin® Clean G 315 has a shelf life of two (2) years and should be stored its in original sealed packing in a dry indoor area. For further information on storage, handling, hazards, please request a copy of Chem-Trend's Material Safety Data Sheet. Packaging Lusin® Clean G 315 is available in 25 kg. bags. |
