MD0898 is a black, high molecular weight PE80 MDPE co-polymer, developed as a general purpose resin for use in pressure and non-pressure pipes, where service life to 100 years is required. MD0898 offers excellent chemical resistance and slow crack growth resistance. MD0898 will provide excellent resistance to the effects of ultra-violet light exposure in outdoor applications due to well dispersed carbon black. MD0898 has been designed for extrusion into a full range of pipes, where medium density, PE80 Type B resins are required. MD0898 is suitable for use in the transport of a wide range of fluids for industrial, rural and mining applications, including potable water. Suitability for use in any application should be determined by appropriate performance testing. MD0898 complies to AS/NZS 4131 2010 for PE80 Type B pipe compounds. It is intended to be used in pipes conforming to AS/NZS 4130. |
