Anti-bacteria is the brand name of the Polycasa PMMA CAST sheet, endowed with anti-microbial and fungicide protection.

The additive used is almost colourless, meaning it can be used in all colour references, as well as in clear material.

Polycasa Anti-bacteria is easier to thermoform than standard material, making it ideal for sawing, drilling, printing, milling, mechanical polishing and hot bending.

CHARACTERISTICS
  • Increases level of hygiene.
  • Protects against and inhibits growth of active fungi, algae and bacteria — meaning no odours or dark surface stains.
  • Easy to clean and maintain.
  • Water insoluble, therefore unaffected by prolonged washing.
  • Better chemical resistance and easier to thermoform than standard Polycasa material.
  • Low migration with temperature — can be thermoformed without modifying its anti-microbial properties.
  • Uses colourless additive.
  • Mechanical properties are not modified compared to sanitary material.
  • Not suitable for application in direct contact with food stuff.
  • Evaluated in a biological laboratory using the standard ISO 846:1997.

APPLICATIONS
  • Hygienic furniture (medical and laboratory equipment).
  • Sanitary ware (wall panels, shower trays and bath tubs).
