KETJENFLEX® 4 is a benzene sulfonamide based plasticizer used in Polyamide (co)polymers. Description and Application KETJENFLEX® 4 is used as a plasticizer in various polyamide plastic formulations. At dosage levels from 8 to 15% KETJENFLEX® 4 readily plasticizes:
With its high boiling point of 314°C KETJENFLEX® 4 can be injected during the hot compounding process of polyamide without generating fumes or deposits in the vacuum hoses. Articles produced of Polyamide/KETJENFLEX® 4 mixtures show good gas barrier properties and low liquid impregnation. KETJENFLEX® 4 will show a minimum of extrudation during lifetime of the manufactured part. Applications include:
