- HB1049 is an extra high molecular weight hexene copolymer. It has good melt strength, good rigidity, excellent stress crack resistance and excellent impact strength even at low temperatures.
- HB1049 is excellent for large part molding applications.
- Recommended applications for HB1049 include blow molding large shipping containers, agricultural chemical tanks and gasoline tanks. Extruded applications would include pallets, cattle feeders, large formed parts and boats.
- Osterlene HB1049 meets the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration, 21 CFR Section 177.1520. This regulation allows the use of this olefin polymer in "...articles or components of articles intended for use in contact with food." Specific limitations may apply.
