Viscosity Modifier MB Description POYAD VM111 is a PP based concentrate contains a special viscosity modifier agent that reduce melt viscosity of polypropylene meanwhile narrow the molecular weight distribution. POYAD VM111 is only applicable in PP based processing that need high melt flow rate such as In Mold Labeled parts (IML) and Melt Blown Fibers. Application POYAD VM111 is designed for ease of dilution and homogeneous mixing and is therefore suitable for direct addition using automatic dosing units or by pre-blending. Depending on the application, type of base resin and process condition it can be used from 0.5 to 2%. A study shows using 0.5% of POYAD VM111 increasing MFI more than 4 times and rising dosage to 1%, increases MFI up to 6 times. The effect depends on initial MFI, process temperature and existence of other chemicals. It should be stored in a dry and cool place (max 25°C) not to exceed 6 months.
