Intol ® 1500 is an emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber obtained by cold polymerisation using a rosin acid soap as emulsifier. It is made at the Hythe production facility in UK. A non-staining antioxidant is added during the production process. Key Features E-SBR is a general purpose rubber characterised by good processability, mechanical properties and abrasion resistance. It has a limited resistance to oil and weather but properly compounded, it is suitable for use in outdoor applications. The use of rosin acid soap results in a higher tack of the green compound and a slightly slower cure rate compared to fatty/rosin acid emulsified types. Main Applications Tyre manufacturing and retreading, conveyor belts, hoses and other mechanical goods.
