DFDA-5488 NT is a fast-curing catalyst masterbatch used in conjunction with DFDB-5451 NT ethylene-silane copolymer. The formula of DFDA-5488 NT contains EEA copolymer, and the brand SI-LINK will be introduced soon.™AC DFDA-5488 Natural crosslinkable polyethylene. Since the catalyst masterbatch is transported separately from the silane-modified polyethylene, these components are very stable during the shelf life. The crosslinking reaction can only occur under the conditions of contact moisture and a certain temperature after the two components are melt-mixed. After mixing with DFDB-5451 NT, DFDA-5488 NT has excellent scorch resistance. DFDA-5488 NT has sufficient antioxidant content, therefore, this mixing system has satisfactory processing performance and product performance stability. This system is very effective for copper conduits or aluminum conduits. The recommended usage of DFDA-5488 NT is about 5% (weight ratio). The specific dosage level depends on the process and the processing conditions used. Extrusion instructions
Special packaging is used for DFDA-5488 NT to protect the product from moisture. Therefore drying of DFDA-5488 NT is not necessary. Consult the Technical Data Sheet for DFDB-5451 NT for processing and crosslinking recommendations.
